Live in each season as it passes.
Hnery David Thoreau
One of the blessings of living in New England is to be present and witness the changing of the seasons and the turning of the year. In the lengthening days of February, the buds slowly swell, preparing for the rebirth of spring. August brings the ripe fullness of the harvest with a tinge of sadness in the hints of the winter to come. The cycles of life and death and rebirth accompany us through our days.
Circles for the Seasons are inspired by the rose windows of medieval cathedrals. As William Blake saw "a World in A Grain of Sand, And a Heaven in a Wild Flower", I see the glory of nature and its infinite grace in the flowers, buds, and fruits of the plants around me.
